What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial real estate credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the life of the loan.
• Manage transaction execution and portfolio coverage in partnership with relationship managers, senior credit team members, and Commercial Credit Analysts.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, due diligence reports, industry research, and peer data to assess credit quality and recommend risk ratings.
• Prepare cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, financial models, guarantor analyses, and loan structure recommendations.
• Present credit analyses, address questions in approval discussions, identify issues requiring escalation, and maintain compliance with credit policies, controls, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 9 years of combined higher education and work experience including 5 years of relevant experience.
• Commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis, or related financial analysis experience.
• Strong financial modeling, credit-metric, ratio-analysis, trend-analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Emerging proficiency in legal documentation, structural analysis, and independently structuring transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, time management, accuracy, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, nCino, or ARGUS.
• Experience with construction monitoring, portfolio management, and underwriting.
