Project Finance and Infrastructure - Associate/Associate Director (NY)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Annual base salary: $100,000–$150,000.

What you will do

• Lead and execute new rating assignments and ongoing surveillance across renewable energy, conventional power, transportation, digital infrastructure, social infrastructure, and public-private partnership transactions.
• Analyze project cash flows, financial models, financing structures, legal documentation, engineering reports, and contractual arrangements.
• Challenge sponsor models and develop independent base-case, sensitivity, and downside stress scenarios to assess debt service capacity and credit risk.
• Evaluate construction, operational, counterparty, regulatory, market, and refinancing risks.
• Develop rating recommendations, present transaction analysis to rating committees, and prepare rating reports, surveillance reports, press releases, and research publications.
• Lead interactions with issuers, sponsors, lenders, investors, and advisors while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to methodology and research initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics, business, or another quantitatively focused field.
• Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, ratings, lending, advisory, banking, investing, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, including the ability to analyze complex project finance models and develop stress scenarios.
• Strong understanding of project finance structures, documentation, contractual frameworks, and risk allocation.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior analysts.

Nice to have

• Progress toward the CFA designation or another relevant professional qualification.
