Controls Programmer / Integrator (HVAC Controls)

Location: Livonia, Michigan, United States; work includes customer locations and collaboration with colleagues in the office.

Salary: $23.44–$70.32 per hour

What you will do

• Integrate and configure HVAC, lighting, mechanical equipment, and other building systems on unified control platforms.
• Program and test control logic, configure DDC systems, and support commissioning against design specifications.
• Develop control graphics and configure customer interfaces, user accounts, trending, alarms, paging, and reports.
• Provide onsite startup, integration troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs as a controls subject matter expert.
• Coordinate requirements, network layouts, materials, installation, repairs, and onsite work with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain high safety standards and be available for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent qualification, or an accredited technical-school certificate.
• At least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience; technical-school training or formal training is preferred.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work at customer locations and in the Livonia office, including required travel, overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
