SCADA Integration Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California, United States. Office-based role requiring field work, travel of up to 40%, and occasional remote work.

Salary: USD $95,000–$135,000 per year, paid weekly.

What you will do

• Design and integrate SCADA, LAN/WAN, field networks, and control systems for substations, photovoltaic projects, and battery energy storage systems.
• Review drawings, points maps, configuration files, vendor documentation, communication diagrams, HMI screens, and network designs.
• Support field crews, construction teams, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, integration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with quality assurance, QA/QC reviews, technical specifications, standards development, proposals, estimating, procurement, and construction support.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, project managers, construction personnel, clients, and other stakeholders on project progress and delivery.
• Resolve unanticipated site issues and provide technical support to cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of related work experience in SCADA engineering, networking, electrical systems, or a combination of trade and relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related engineering program preferred; a vocational degree in electronics, computers, or networking is also relevant.
• Experience with utility-scale solar/PV projects and renewable EPC projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of IEEE 61850, IEC 61131-3, SEL, ABB and GE platforms, DNP, Modbus, routers, managed switches, LAN/WAN development, and industrial SCADA integration.
• Ability to work outdoors and around high-voltage equipment, industrial noise, varying weather conditions, and hazardous environments, with travel of up to 40%.
