TL;DR
Senior Control Systems Integration Technical Specialist / Programmer (SCADA/PLC/HMI): Programming, testing, implementing, and commissioning control systems for industrial and building engineering projects with an accent on automation platforms, electrical circuits, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on leading integration projects, downloading and documenting control programs, coordinating with design and construction teams, and performing field testing and commissioning.
Location: Must be based in the Winston-Salem, Charlotte, or Raleigh office in North Carolina, United States. Travel is required as necessary, depending on project and business needs.

What you will do
- Lead control systems integration projects and contribute to scope, schedule, and budget development.
- Program project control systems covering SCADA, PLC, HMI, historians, and communications hardware.
- Download, test, and document control system programs and communications systems.
- Coordinate control system activities with design, construction, start-up teams, and clients.
- Participate in field testing and commissioning of control systems.
- Execute assigned work within project scope, budget, and schedule.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience with control systems integration, programming, testing, and commissioning.
- Fundamental understanding of programming and standard engineering practices.
- Knowledge of controls and automation principles and electrical circuits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for preparing detailed reports, client presentations, memoranda, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, leadership, planning, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as required by project needs and preference for local candidates.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer license, PE or P.Eng.
- Experience with water and wastewater facilities, oil and gas, power generation and distribution, mining, or other industrial facilities.
- Experience with Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Emerson GE, AVEVA Wonderware, Inductive Automation Ignition, or other automation platforms.
- Participation in engineering societies such as IEEE or ISA.
