HVAC Support Specialist

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan. Onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Hourly base pay: $18.09–$54.26

What you will do

• Provide remote technical support and triage for building automation systems and HVAC controls.
• Access customer sites remotely to troubleshoot issues, adjust systems, and provide operational guidance.
• Investigate Trane Cloud issues, review solutions, and implement fixes, patches, and energy conservation measures when appropriate.
• Review building performance, perform offset calibration and zone mapping, and identify HVAC upgrades and system changes.
• Manage customer intake and support cases using Salesforce or regional case management processes.
• Collaborate with account managers, project managers, engineers, field technicians, resource coordinators, service managers, and customers.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Building Automation Systems and HVAC equipment.
• Understanding of database management, IP networking, and BAS protocols including BACnet, LonTalk, and Modbus.
• Ability to troubleshoot practical and non-standardized technical issues and escalate complex problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with technical report writing, advanced computer navigation, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
