Field Services Technician I (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Kent, Washington, United States; field-based work at industrial and remediation sites.

Salary: $14.90–$34.62 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, inspect drums, and verify container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with field sampling, waste-stream profiling, and meter calibration.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, powered industrial tools, and vehicles in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Work in varied weather, elevated-noise areas, confined spaces, at heights, and around potentially hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents while using required PPE.
• Participate in safety meetings and rotating emergency-response on-call coverage every other week.

Requirements

• Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting, climbing, working at heights, and extended shifts of up to 12–24 hours during emergency response.
• Agreement to rotating on-call coverage, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination as applicable.
• Compliance with respirator facial-hair standards where respirators are required.
• Valid driver's license and previous relevant labor experience are preferred.
