Recycle Technician

Location: New Stanton, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $17.25–$18.25 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, salvage, inspect, and sort reusable, recyclable, and waste materials.
• Work with multiple collection containers and maintain docks and collection areas.
• Maintain clean work areas, logs, schedules, and punch-list items.
• Follow safety rules, company procedures, task instructions, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Work with shift leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks and lift or move up to 35 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training and experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Completed safety and task training certifications.
• May be required to hold a valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and RCRA hazardous waste handling training.
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and perform the essential duties safely.

Nice to have

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and chemicals.
