What you will do

• Support the origination, structuring, and execution of lending mandates within the Financial Institutions Group, with a focus on structured finance.
• Analyze financial statements, value cash flows, conduct industry research, and prepare client and stakeholder marketing materials.
• Model and structure transactions across auto, home improvement, solar, mortgage servicing, aircraft leasing, and other consumer and commercial asset classes.
• Coordinate transaction execution with clients, senior bankers, credit officers, underwriters, rating agencies, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Support growth of the lending book and identify opportunities for DCM, ECM, Treasury Management, and Wilmington Trust fee-based products.
• Maintain compliance, operational risk, internal control, audit, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of related credit experience in financial institutions, specialty finance, investment banking, structured finance, or credit underwriting.
• Highly proficient in cash flow modeling with strong financial analysis and credit principles knowledge.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and client-facing sales skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
