Associate - Financial Advisory Services (Finance)

Location: Chicago, IL; office workplace. Travel of 25–50% may be required.

Salary: $114,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze historical financial results, normalized earnings, working capital trends, revenue, margins, and EBITDA.
• Prepare Quality of Earnings reports and support buy-side and sell-side transaction diligence.
• Build cash flow forecasts, liquidity analyses, 13-week cash flow models, and integrated financial models.
• Analyze capital structures, debt agreements, covenant constraints, and restructuring alternatives.
• Support turnaround plans, cost reduction initiatives, bankruptcy administration, and stakeholder communications.
• Use Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx to analyze datasets and improve financial reporting and diligence workflows.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or another analytical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment, accounting, and/or consulting.
• Understanding of financial statements, operational and financial restructuring, and debtor and creditor matters.
• Ability to build and use comprehensive integrated financial models and perform scenario, sensitivity, variance, and trend analyses.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; the employer participates in E-Verify.
• Must pass an FBI background check with fingerprinting.

Nice to have

• MBA or MS in Accounting, Finance, or another analytical field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong communication, business writing, critical thinking, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills.
