M&A Associate (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in New York (On-site)

Salary: $150,000–$300,000+ per year

What you will do

• Manage the full deal lifecycle from initial outreach and LOI through diligence, closing, and integration.
• Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of investment targets by engaging with firm owners, brokers, and advisors.
• Develop investment theses, conduct market mapping, and prioritize targets aligned with strategic goals.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence across financial, operational, legal, regulatory, and technology workstreams.
• Own valuation and underwriting processes, including building financial models and scenario analyses.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams on post-close integration planning and performance tracking.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
• Proven track record of executing transactions across the full deal lifecycle.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to build and pressure-test deal models.
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication skills with strong judgment and attention to detail.
