Private Banking Lending & Portfolio Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage operational support for private banking loan originations, custom credit advisors, securities-based lending specialists, and portfolio management.
• Lead a team of eight and allocate resources across three distinct operational functions.
• Review department reports and monitor compliance with operational, security, audit, and service standards.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to lending policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
• Support strategic planning, contingency planning, regulatory compliance, and risk escalation.
• Resolve and communicate resolutions for highly complex credit issues while supporting internal partners and client experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of wealth management, tailored, or custom credit lending experience; alternatively, nine years of combined higher education and work experience including five years of relevant lending experience.
• Completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of managerial, supervisory, or work leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of custom credit structuring and advising, lending products, and portfolio metrics.
• Strong prioritization, analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Work location: New York, United States.

Nice to have

• At least eight years of private banking or commercial banking lending experience.
• At least three years managing diverse operational functions in a financial services organization.
• Experience with relevant internal systems and securities-based lending.
