Commercial Portfolio Manager III (Equipment Finance)

Location: Minnetonka, Minnesota, United States; position available at any Huntington Bank corporate office location

Salary: $83,700–$208,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite complex, large-ticket equipment finance lease and loan facilities.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow, leverage, liquidity, collateral coverage, repayment capacity, and qualitative risk factors.
• Prepare and present credit recommendations and underwriting memoranda to approval authorities.
• Evaluate transaction structures, collateral, guarantor support, risk mitigants, and risk ratings while monitoring portfolio changes.
• Partner with relationship managers, sales, credit, legal, operations, and other stakeholders on credit decisions.
• Mentor junior credit professionals, support training and onboarding, and contribute to portfolio reviews, regulatory examinations, audits, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of commercial credit analysis experience.
• Advanced expertise in complex credit underwriting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit structuring.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, challenge transaction assumptions, and identify emerging credit risks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.

• Sound judgment balancing risk management objectives with business considerations.
• CLFP designation.
