Managing Director - Warehouse Lending

Location: New York, NY; office workplace

Salary: $125,000–$255,000 annual base salary, plus eligible incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead Relationship Managers and Producing Bankers, setting business development, staffing, performance, and career development strategies.
• Build and deepen corporate mortgage finance client relationships and generate new business across the bank.
• Originate, structure, underwrite, and close bilateral and syndicated asset-backed credit facilities, including mortgage warehouse lines and mortgage servicing asset facilities.
• Prepare and present credit approval memorandums for new requests, modifications, renewals, annual reviews, portfolio reviews, and criticized assets.
• Manage commercial loan portfolios, monitor creditworthiness, covenants, compliance, collateral, and changing business conditions.
• Coordinate with portfolio managers, bankers, legal counsel, senior management, and other internal banking groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of mortgage-related asset-backed lending experience.
• Ability to analyze corporate financial statements, assess client needs, and recommend credit structures and facility terms.
• Knowledge of debt and equity capital markets and multi-bank or syndicated credit facilities.
• Strong communication, organization, project management, business development, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work in the New York, NY office workplace.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of direct experience as a Mortgage Finance Relationship Manager.
• Prior Team Lead experience.
• Extensive middle-market and large-market client and recruiting networks.
• Experience generating revenue through new client acquisition and cross-selling capital markets, treasury management, and wealth management services.
