Technician – Wind Energy

Location: On-site at the Carleton facilities in Carleton-sur-Mer, Quebec, Canada

What you will do

• Ensure the proper operation of wind turbines and identify malfunctions.
• Locate and repair defects in collaboration with the operations and maintenance team.
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance and maintain service records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Work outdoors, perform manual or supervisory duties, and respond to overtime or on-call requirements when needed.

Requirements

• Fluency in French is required.
• At least three years of experience in wind turbine operations or maintenance; relevant experience may also be considered.
• Ability to climb an 80-meter vertical ladder without assistance and work at heights.
• AEC certificate in wind turbine maintenance; training in electromechanics or electrical engineering is considered an asset.
• Valid Electrician Competency Certificate, Apprentice or Journeyman, authorizing electrical work in Quebec.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license, strong responsibility and safety awareness, ability to work under pressure, and availability for overtime or on-call work.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCADA systems and PLCs.
