Sr Staff Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Shugart, Singapore; travel is not required.

What you will do

• Design and develop custom test hardware using commercially available standard components.
• Create new test hardware designs and upgrades that meet or exceed product specifications.
• Develop architectures, methods, and hardware patches for product requirements, failure modes, and component obsolescence.
• Coordinate software requirements for new hardware with software engineers.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Firmware Development, Quality Assurance, and Supplier Quality Engineering teams.
• Provide support and guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronics design.
• Experience designing high-speed circuits above 5 GHz, including differential ECL/CML logic, RF amplifiers, PLLs, CDRs, serializers, and deserializers.
• Experience with complex timing analysis, signal integrity, power integrity, board power supply, and thermal calculations.
• Experience with FPGA logic design and coding, preferably with Intel Altera devices.
• Fluency with schematics and PCB design tools, preferably Mentor Xpedition.

Nice to have

• Experience with C/C++ programming, NI systems, and LabVIEW.
