Data Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; in-person work from the NYC office 2 days a week

Annual base salary: $188,000–$275,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

hirify.global builds an end-to-end platform for developing, training, and deploying AI systems, combining developer-focused software with large-scale AI compute.

What you will do

• Design and own ETL/ELT pipelines for GPU telemetry, product usage, operational, and customer data.
• Build and maintain clean, documented tables for analysts and data scientists.
• Own data quality through schema management, freshness monitoring, lineage tracking, and alerting.
• Partner with engineering and go-to-market teams to instrument untracked data.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, ML, and analytics teams to unblock their work.
• Drive data projects from conception through production as the first Data Engineer.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar data-focused roles.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehouse architecture.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools such as dbt and SQLMesh.
• Experience partnering with Data Science, Product, and Engineering leaders to deliver product metrics and user behavior insights.
• Experience establishing data governance, quality standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, hands-on technical leadership, and an end-to-end problem-solving mindset.
