Materials Team Lead (HVAC)

Location: On-site five days per week in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Salary: $27.71 per hour

What you will do

• Build engineered HVAC equipment using defined equipment, standard work processes, and work content.
• Lead a manufacturing work cell and ensure the team meets daily customer demand and production schedules.
• Promote LEAN guidelines and maintain team build standards and station processes.
• Train department employees and uphold company safety, quality, and build standards.
• Document daily activities using takt trackers, station boards, paperwork, and required reports.
• Coordinate with purchasing, materials, technicians, engineering, quality, and safety teams.

Requirements

• Manufacturing leadership experience.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, use a tape measure, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a semi-conditioned, loud shop environment with moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, electrical-shock risks, and fumes or airborne particles.
