Sr. Mechanical Project Leader I (OSS)

What you will do

• Act as sub-project leader and technical point of contact for the OEM in mechanical development.
• Lead cross-functional development teams and coordinate mechanical engineering activities from project start through end-of-production.
• Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers, including schedules, deliverables, quality processes, approval gates, and project status reporting.
• Plan and track technical requirements, project effort, budget, timelines, releases, validation, verification, and testing activities.
• Manage technical risks and issues, including mitigation, root-cause analysis, conflict management, and technical problem solving.
• Create and release BOMs, D-FMEAs, work products, technical data containers, and parameter sheets for steering-system production readiness.

Requirements

• Experience leading mechanical development activities in medium- to high-complexity projects.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with Hardware, Software, and Systems Engineering disciplines.
• Experience with technical requirements, project planning, effort and budget estimation, and delivery tracking.
• Experience in technical risk management, root-cause analysis, validation and verification, testing management, and quality-gate releases.
• Ability to communicate project status to project teams and top management and negotiate technical deviations with OEM stakeholders.
• Ability to create and release Bills of Material and D-FMEA documentation.
