GCM Special Accounts Manager IV - Public Finance

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; other locations within the Wilmington Trust footprint may be considered, including Costa Mesa, Chicago, Delaware, Baltimore, and Buffalo, NY.

Salary: $153,700–$256,100 annual, USD.

What you will do

• Lead risk, regulatory compliance, and issue-management activities for complex and distressed Global Capital Markets accounts.
• Analyze governing documents, reconstruct waterfalls, perform debt service calculations, and identify root causes of transaction issues.
• Administer complex financial transactions, including contract negotiations, cash flow execution, fee billing, KYC due diligence, reporting, and account monitoring.
• Lead strategic discussions, client meetings, transaction closings, legal proceedings, and negotiations with attorneys, advisors, executives, and other deal parties.
• Drive product, policy, process, control-environment, and service-delivery improvements across the division.
• Represent Global Capital Markets externally when required and mentor Account Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of Global Capital Markets client service, product, or market experience; alternatively, 13 years of combined higher education and work experience including 9 relevant years.
• Extensive experience analyzing and building waterfalls and debt service calculations.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, with knowledge of Capital Markets and Corporate Trust.
• Experience managing high-risk issues, difficult situations, and strained relationships with tact and diplomacy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and industry-specific software.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration or Juris Doctor degree.
• CCTS certification.
• Strong knowledge of department-specific software and demonstrated ownership of jobs or projects.
