GCM Special Accounts Manager IV - Public Finance (Capital Markets)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; other possible locations include Costa Mesa, Chicago, Delaware, Baltimore, and Buffalo, New York.

Salary: $153,700–$256,100 annual USD.

What you will do

• Lead the management and resolution of distressed or defaulted Global Capital Markets accounts and high-risk account issues.
• Manage litigation, bankruptcy matters, events of default, subpoenas, servicer transitions, amendments, settlements, and related legal issues.
• Analyze governing documents, reconstruct waterfalls, perform debt service calculations, and identify root causes and solutions.
• Oversee complex account administration, cash flow execution, fee billing, Know Your Customer activities, reporting, and transaction closings.
• Lead risk, regulatory compliance, control environment, policy, product, and process improvement initiatives.
• Mentor Account Managers and represent Global Capital Markets in client meetings, legal proceedings, presentations, and industry engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of Global Capital Markets client service, product, or market experience; alternatively, 13 years of combined higher education and work experience including 9 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience analyzing and building waterfalls and debt service calculations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents.
• Knowledge of capital markets and corporate trust, with experience managing high-risk issues and strained relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and industry-specific software.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration or Juris Doctor degree.
• CCTS certification.
• Knowledge of department-specific software and demonstrated ownership of jobs or projects.
