Senior Solutions Engineer, Public Sector Federal (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; 35–45% travel required

What you will do

• Lead technical discussions and implementations throughout the sales cycle for US Public Sector Federal prospects and customers.
• Qualify use cases, discover technical requirements, lead product demonstrations, and identify and design solutions.
• Collaborate on proofs of concept and support new customer training and onboarding through video conferences or in-person sessions.
• Advise existing customers on technical best practices, hirify.global product implementations, and long-term technology strategy.
• Work with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support as the technical customer advocate.
• Support the emerging Department of Defense and DISA segment, including travel to customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of customer-facing sales or consulting experience supporting the US Federal Government.
• Understanding of Internet technologies, including OSI Model layers 1–7, TCP/UDP routing, authoritative and recursive DNS, HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS.
• Experience with SASE frameworks and related technologies such as Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, and SD-WAN.
• Comfort with on-premise infrastructure, networking configurations, legacy systems, and methodologies.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to systems engineers, developers, IT managers, and C-level stakeholders.
• Strong project management, relationship-building, collaboration, mentoring, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and browser-based HTTP request and response analysis.
• Experience serving the US Department of Defense or DISA market segment.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Azure, AWS, or GCP Architect certification.
