Solutions Consultant, Public Sector (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in the United States; HQ in New York, NY. Relocation expense coverage to New York City or San Francisco may be available.

Salary: $176,000–$242,000 annually in San Francisco/New York City; $158,000–$217,000 annually nationwide. Equity is offered with a 75/25 split.

What you will do

• Lead technical and workflow discovery with government, education, and nonprofit prospects and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
• Design secure, scalable public-sector solutions using APIs, ERP integrations, and compliance frameworks.
• Partner with Account Executives to build technical consensus across complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Support security, compliance, procurement evaluations, RFP responses, and ROI analyses.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Success on integrations, roadmap input, and secure implementations.
• Represent public-sector finance modernization through industry events, conferences, and customer workshops.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture at a SaaS or fintech company.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting workflows, ERP integrations, APIs, SFTP configurations, and security protocols.
• Experience supporting public-sector organizations and understanding procurement, compliance, and IT/security requirements.
• Ability to influence and present to executive stakeholders and navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales or adoption cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of public-sector requirements including FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, and federal or state procurement frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, or SAP government financial systems.
• Programming familiarity with Python, SQL, or Java for solution prototyping.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Project management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP.
