30-Day Collections Representative (Auto Finance)

Location: On-site in Agoura Hills, California, United States

Salary: $18.47 USD per hour, plus potential performance bonuses

What you will do

• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound collection calls for customers who are 31+ days past due.
• Contact customers to arrange payments and negotiate plans for resolving delinquent accounts.
• Document customer interactions and account actions accurately.
• Use skip-tracing tools to locate customers or collateral when needed.
• Review accounts for repossession in accordance with company guidelines.
• Support delinquency reduction, productivity, quality, compliance, and department goals.

Requirements

• At least one year of consumer collections experience in a high-volume, auto-dialer environment.
• Strong communication, telephone etiquette, negotiation, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, web-based applications, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of collections and repossession processes; auto collection experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
