Repo Coordinator II (Auto & Recreational Vehicle Loans)

What you will do

• Coordinate repossession and transportation of collateral for delinquent auto and recreational vehicle loans.
• Work with internal Collections teams and external repossession agents to recover collateral.
• Provide agents with accurate account and collateral information and coordinate with vendors, attorneys, and law enforcement.
• Research collateral value for the Remarketing Team and perform skip tracing when assets cannot be located.
• Contact customers to coordinate payments or voluntary collateral surrender and perform collections activities as needed.
• Negotiate settlements with mechanic’s lien holders, impound lots, marinas, and dealerships; participate in vendor audits and maintain compliance controls.

Requirements

• At least three years of combined higher education and/or relevant work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Experience handling high-volume account activity, with responsibility for 200+ accounts per week.
• Ability to communicate with customers, repossession vendors, attorneys, and law enforcement.
• Ability to follow company and regulatory compliance standards and internal control procedures.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Collections or repossession experience.
• Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
