Collections Specialist, Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest, Calscience, Tustin, CA

Location: Tustin, California, USA. Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with possible overtime and weekends as needed.

Salary: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain assigned client account portfolios.
• Contact clients by phone and in writing regarding past-due invoices.
• Research and resolve payment disputes, cash discrepancies, and delayed payments.
• Maintain accurate account notes and complete daily follow-up queues in collections software.
• Provide account updates and documentation to the Collections Manager, Operations, Sales, and clients.
• Process credit card payments and participate in collections-related conference calls and projects.

Requirements

• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
• Collections experience is preferred.
• An associate degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of general accounting, business concepts, accounting software, mathematics, and collections practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, organization, customer service, active listening, and attention-to-detail skills.
