Principal Solutions Architect (Public Sector Federal)

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C., with US remote availability. Travel up to 40% per quarter may be required.

Estimated annual salary: $248,000–$330,000 depending on work location.

What you will do

• Define tailored digital transformation visions and multi-year roadmaps for government and education customers.
• Help customers identify, scope, and manage migrations from incumbent edge cloud and on-premises technologies.
• Build long-term technical relationships with strategic accounts and support solution design, proof, and adoption.
• Lead strategic conversations with CIOs, CISOs, agency executives, and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with specialists, architects, and subject matter experts across the pre-sales organization.
• Support business value assessments and contribute public-sector expertise to go-to-market and platform evolution.

Requirements

• 15+ years of technical sales, engineering, and/or first-hand industry experience.
• Experience building trust and maintaining relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of business strategy, technology, government modernization, and risk management.
• Knowledge of government and industry standards, frameworks, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FedRAMP, GDPR, and NIS2.
• Experience designing cloud, edge, and on-premises architectures, migrations, and implementations.
• Applicants must be able to work in the United States; access to export-controlled information may require authorization without export-license sponsorship.
