General Counsel and Executive Vice President (Digital Health)

Location: Remote within the United States; moderate travel required.

What you will do

• Provide legal and strategic business counsel on employment, corporate, commercial, procurement, policy, contracts, and litigation matters.
• Lead privacy, security, Medicare, HIPAA, and broader healthcare compliance programs, including risk assessments and corrective action plans.
• Advise on regulatory requirements for remote patient monitoring, connected medical devices, consumer health data, and health data platforms.
• Lead legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-closing integration for mergers, acquisitions, and technology partnerships.
• Negotiate and manage vendor, client, employment, technology, data-licensing, and enterprise agreements with health systems and healthcare partners.
• Manage external counsel, government investigations, legal proceedings, and reporting to the Board of Directors on governance and enterprise risk.

Requirements

• LLB or JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current good-standing membership in the bar of a United States state.
• At least 10 years of legal experience after admission to the bar.
• Prior leadership experience as in-house counsel and experience advising boards and board committees.
• Experience developing internal compliance policies and procedures and leading M&A due diligence, structuring, and integration.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, Medicare programs, OIG billing compliance, healthcare data privacy, connected medical devices, remote patient monitoring, and software-as-a-medical-device considerations.
