TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Kinston, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $68,911–$161,544 base compensation per year

What you will do

  • Perform line-side quality inspections of A350 aircraft structures, including fuselage panels, junctions, crown assemblies, shell assemblies, and internal and external surfaces.
  • Evaluate paint and surface quality, including appearance, color, thickness, gloss, orange peel, and overall condition.
  • Verify fastener installation using calibrated measurement tools, including flushness, grip length, lockbolts, collars, angularity, and countersunk fasteners.
  • Assess structural defects, composite laminate conditions, surface damage, dimensional conformity, and component quality.
  • Document and manage non-conformances by creating NCRs, maintaining MES/SAP quality data, verifying concessions, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Maintain FOD prevention, inspection records, traceability, product safety, regulatory compliance, audits, and customer inspections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft assembly, composites, or aerostructures.
  • Experience conducting line-side inspections in a production environment.
  • Experience with non-conformance management systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in Kinston, North Carolina.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering technology, or quality.
  • Experience with MES, SAP, or equivalent manufacturing systems.
