Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Salary: Up to $27.00 per hour

hirify.global is a defense and security company manufacturing the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force.

What you will do

• Authorize assembly process completion and perform in-process inspections during structural assembly and system installation.
• Validate products visually and dimensionally against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect surfaces, fasteners, sealant, paint, testing results, and other product characteristics for defects.
• Compile technical data, report final inspection results, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop deviation reports, represent quality at the Material Review Board, and monitor non-conforming material processes.
• Support tooling validation, metrology activities, and standardization of repeatable work procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and select appropriate tools and working methods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical tasks throughout the shift, and regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekend overtime when required; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Nice to have

• Quality inspection experience in aeronautics or automotive manufacturing.
• Technical degree or certification in air structure assembly or a related technical field.
• Experience with ISO/AS9100, highly standardized processes, or industry customer BACS.
