Migration Architect (Mainframe to GCP Migration)

Location: Hybrid role based in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, or Nashville, United States

Salary: $82,082–$193,440 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Lead large-scale mainframe modernization and migration programs to Google Cloud Platform.
• Advise executive stakeholders on cloud transformation strategies and roadmaps.
• Assess and modernize COBOL, PL/I, CICS, IMS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and batch workloads.
• Design re-host, re-platform, and re-factor migration strategies, including GCP dual-run solutions for testing and cutover.
• Architect event-driven integrations using Pub/Sub, APIs, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and GKE.
• Define data migration, automation, DevOps, CI/CD, security, governance, disaster recovery, and post-migration stabilization approaches.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise application or platform architecture.
• 6+ years of experience in mainframe modernization or legacy transformation.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale mainframe-to-cloud migration programs.
• Deep expertise in GCP architecture and services, cloud migration strategies, and hybrid or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with security, IAM, compliance, governance, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation.
• Ability to lead modernization programs from strategy and design through production deployment while managing senior stakeholders.
