Assistant Branch Manager

Location: West Valley City, Utah, United States; the role supports the Gexpro team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

What you will do

• Support the Branch Manager and branch personnel in improving profitability and overall branch performance.
• Manage daily branch operations and act as branch manager when the manager is absent.
• Develop, train, supervise, coach, and schedule branch associates.
• Handle customer service, product selection, deliveries, and relationships with key customers.
• Oversee inventory control, warehouse housekeeping, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping.
• Maintain facility and equipment while enforcing security, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience; sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; a four-year bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations, with the ability to develop and coach a team.
• Strong leadership, customer service, negotiation, interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP system such as Solar Eclipse.
• If deliveries are required: valid driver's license, minimum age of 21, motor vehicle record reviews, and legally required medical certification.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience.
• Forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment certification.
• Experience managing P&Ls.
