Assistant Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $28.60–$47.66 hourly (USD)

What you will do

• Support the Branch Manager in directing branch sales, customer service, employee coaching, and daily operations.
• Develop, grow, and retain customer relationships through portfolio management, financial needs assessments, outreach, appointments, sales, and referrals.
• Resolve complex account servicing issues and customer escalations while identifying appropriate product and service opportunities.
• Coach branch employees on customer experience, sales generation, referrals, procedures, and operational issues.
• Supervise branch operations during the Branch Manager’s absence and assist with hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and personnel matters.
• Maintain operational, security, audit, fraud-prevention, KYC, CIP, SAFE Act, and other risk and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least 4 years of proven retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience; alternatively, 6 years of combined higher education and work experience including 4 years in these areas.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing within 18 months of entering the position; branch-provided licensing training is available within 6 months.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, organization, time management, prioritization, sales, and business development skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, lift 5–30 lb objects, read fine print, and work face-to-face with customers.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Notary public license.
• Life/Health Insurance Agent license.
• Bilingual communication skills based on branch needs.
• Internet experience and understanding of branch profitability.
