IT Systems Engineer

Location: Public-sector IT environment using GCC High and Azure Gov; work location is not specified.

What you will do

• Administer Okta, GCC High, Opal, Slack, Jamf, Jira, and other SaaS platforms.
• Provide escalated technical support to the IT Services and Support team.
• Partner with Security and Compliance on SSP updates, POA&Ms, control mappings, and audit artifacts.
• Design and maintain Zero-Trust controls, including device posture, network segmentation, and Conditional Access.
• Build Okta Workflows and lightweight webhook or queue services for joiner–mover–leaver events, access reviews, and deprovisioning.
• Own change management through CAB records, rollback plans, validation evidence, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT systems, infrastructure, and/or engineering.
• Experience integrating SaaS APIs and SDKs.
• Experience with Okta or similar identity platforms and SAML, OIDC, and SCIM provisioning.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
• Experience working within SCIFs.
• Familiarity with IL6, FedRAMP High, and CMMC 2.0 control families and their implementation in IT configurations.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-Code experience for identity and MDM configurations, such as Terraform providers for Okta, Jamf, or Azure.
• Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• IT security and compliance focus.
