Staff Software Engineer - Frontend (AI)

Base pay: $202,500–$274,000 per year in New York

What you will do

• Create front-end solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Translate customer insights into mockups, wireframes, and proof-of-concept code.
• Lead a small team in solving complex programming and design issues.
• Contribute to product design, architecture, and web, mobile, and front-end development.
• Provide technical direction, prioritize technical issues and features, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Identify opportunities for AI enhancement, launch AI integrations in production, and evaluate their impact using performance and user-satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, REST or SOAP web services, and the full SDLC.
• Expertise in unit testing and Test Driven Development, with experience designing highly scalable and available applications.
• Experience developing and maintaining large-scale, consumer-facing web or mobile applications.
• Ability to build functional AI models using prompting and AutoML, monitor production model performance, and lead AI integration while mentoring junior engineers.
