Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote - US

Base pay: $200,000–$245,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Drive system design across the hirify.globalering organization.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems and APIs.
• Build and maintain public-facing consumer-grade APIs, including versioning, deprecation, and consumption-based rate limiting.
• Apply agentic coding tools and develop workflows and codebase structures that support AI agents.
• Collaborate with Product and Data Science to deliver customer experiences.
• Mentor mid-to-senior hirify.globalers and lead initiatives that improve software quality, efficiency, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available distributed systems.
• Experience building public-facing APIs and managing API versioning, deprecation, and rate limiting.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, scalability, system architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin or similar modern backend languages, React, and AWS.
• Deep practical experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable tools.
