Commercial Credit Senior Analyst - CRE

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Monitor existing commercial credit portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, due diligence reports, credit bureau data, industry research, and peer data.
• Prepare cash flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, and financial or projection models.
• Partner with relationship managers, attend client and prospect calls, and present credit analyses during credit discussions or committee presentations.
• Identify credit and suspicious-activity risks, recommend risk ratings and transaction structures, and ensure compliance with commercial credit policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement analysis, or other financial analysis.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 6 combined years of higher education and work experience, including 2 years in a relevant financial analysis or commercial credit role.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong customer-focused interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
