Engineering Project Leader (Drivetrain Controls)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois, United States. Up to 10% travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Drivetrain Brake Mechatronics team and align machine programs with lower-powertrain technology requirements.
• Lead the design, development, implementation, simulation, and validation of drivetrain control software and algorithms.
• Own key drivetrain controls technologies and steward legacy technologies for reliability, compliance, and enterprise value.
• Apply systems engineering principles to balance performance, durability, robustness, cost, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, validation, and machine teams on design selection, verification, validation, and system integration.
• Drive process improvements through standard work, lessons learned, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering curriculum, preferably electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, computer, systems, or agricultural engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, decision-making, and technical communication skills.
• Advanced project management capabilities, including planning, monitoring, resource control, and delivery.
• Experience with computer-aided controls systems development, simulation, specifications, and validation.
• Knowledge of product testing, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution in manufacturing or product development.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Lower-powertrain component design or development experience.
• Machine brake controls and machine performance experience.
• Experience leading system development and integration projects delivered on time and within budget.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate issues, and take appropriate action.
