Software Development Director (MedTech)

Location: US-CA-Santa Clara; 3 days onsite on a flexible hybrid schedule

Salary: $213,696–$333,900 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead global software R&D teams, including direct reports, managers, offshore teams, and external vendors.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects.
• Drive compliance with regulated-environment requirements, including ISO 13485 and Design Control processes.
• Manage product lifecycle activities, quality outcomes, resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Partner with stakeholders across software, genomics, pathology, and life sciences domains.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific field.
• 10+ years of product development experience in software and/or hardware.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing global, distributed teams.
• Strong software R&D and delivery background in regulated environments.
• Direct experience with ISO 13485 and medical device quality systems is required.
• Experience managing offshore teams, contractors, and vendors.

Nice to have

• Domain knowledge in genomics, pathology, or life sciences.
