Software Developer - Fullstack (Go)

Location: Hybrid at the Oakville, Canada location; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend features and foundational APIs using Go and Node.js.
• Build services supporting dynamic application layouts, personalization engines, and core user-facing functionality.
• Scale backend systems for millions of users, traffic spikes, low latency, and high performance across AWS, GCP, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Own features end to end, including clean implementation, testing, deployment, and mobile releases through Jenkins and Fastlane.
• Refactor legacy systems, write greenfield code, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong backend focus.
• Experience building foundational services, APIs, or infrastructure for high-traffic systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, containerization, and microservices.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Comfort working with both legacy code and new codebases, including GitHub Copilot-assisted development.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and availability for a hybrid work model in Oakville are required.

Nice to have

• React Native, React, and TypeScript experience.
• Experience deploying and managing mobile applications through the App Store and Google Play.
• Experience with Fastlane and Jenkins.
