Full Stack Engineer (React/Node)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada

Salary: CA$100K–CA$140K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end product features across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop APIs, backend services, asynchronous pipelines, and distributed systems for workflow automation and high-volume data processing.
• Use AWS services and queueing systems such as SQS to build scalable, observable, and reliable infrastructure.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces with React and contribute to frontend architecture and component systems.
• Own features from concept through production and collaborate with product, design, and engineering on technical scoping and architecture decisions.
• Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions for data-intensive workflows.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience building full stack applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Node.js or Django, API design, and distributed or asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Experience shipping features end-to-end in a collaborative environment, with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building workflow tools, internal platforms, or data-heavy applications.
• Familiarity with document processing, OCR, or AI/ML integrations.
• Experience with drag-and-drop interfaces, complex frontend state management, or high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Background in financial services, regulated industries, or high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
