Software Developer (Angular/Java)

Location: 100% remote, with current work authorization for Canada required; Toronto office listed

Salary: CAD 101,000–118,000 annual base salary, plus a discretionary performance bonus

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.
• Define business requirements and end-to-end technical solutions with stakeholders, technology teams, and Agile project managers.
• Develop and maintain application code based on business and systems requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, developers, and internal user groups.
• Support internal-facing applications and participate in production support and continuous improvement.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable software for the mutual fund industry.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with Angular 19+ and Java.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, deployment processes, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• RESTful API design, development, integration, and support.
• Progress 4GL/RDBMS, PostgreSQL, SQL, stored procedures, or Boomi experience.
• Financial services or mutual fund industry experience.
• Experience with AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT.
