Software Developer (Angular/Java)

Location: 100% remote within Canada; current Canadian work authorization required. Toronto office location.

Salary: CAD 101,000–118,000 annually, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.
• Define business requirements and end-to-end technical solutions with stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, and agile project managers.
• Develop and maintain application code for internal-facing financial services systems.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including production support and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with QA teams, developers, and business partners to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience, preferably in financial services, mutual funds, or investments.
• Experience with Angular 19+, Java, Agile/Scrum methodology, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• RESTful API design, Progress 4GL/RDBMS, PostgreSQL, SQL, stored procedures, or Boomi.
• Experience in investment, fund administration, trading, or wealth management systems.
• Experience using AI-powered developer tools for coding, testing, documentation, or productivity.
