Staff Fullstack Developer (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the Toronto office

Base pay: $164,500–$222,500 per year, plus potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead significant technology initiatives across multiple architectural layers.
• Architect and develop scalable, secure, maintainable applications and services for high-volume customer experiences.
• Design and implement solutions that integrate with numerous systems and address critical customer problems.
• Identify opportunities to enhance applications with AI, launch AI integrations in production, and evaluate their impact using performance and user-satisfaction metrics.
• Establish application, platform, and developer-tool best practices while collaborating with global cross-functional teams.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers on software engineering practices and effective use of AI.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
• Experience with JavaScript application design and testing, Java, TypeScript, React, and full-stack development.
• Knowledge of scalable application design, algorithms, design patterns, accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation.
• Experience with TDD, unit, integration, and functional testing; relational database design; SQL and NoSQL databases; and analytics.
• Practical experience with microservices, container technologies, Kubernetes or similar container management systems, CI/CD, and cloud application deployment.
• In-depth understanding of AI integration and the ability to lead integration efforts while collaborating with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
