Energy Efficiency Consultant, C&I Active Demand Response (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three office days per week, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office if required.

Salary: $96,460–$107,180 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead the technical and operational coordination of commercial and industrial demand response events, including scheduling.
• Promote demand management programs to commercial, industrial, and municipal customers while tracking leads and follow-ups.
• Manage contracted Distributed Energy Resource Management System vendors supporting program operations.
• Develop ConnectedSolutions growth initiatives and pilots for new customer segments and demand response strategies.
• Train internal and external stakeholders on demand response strategies, processes, and techniques.
• Represent Eversource as a subject matter expert at industry conferences, stakeholder events, and regulatory proceedings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Three or more years of relevant experience in engineering, sales, product, program, or project management, or energy efficiency and demand response.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, C&I curtailment strategies, connected devices, energy markets, DERMS, and virtual power plants.
• Understanding of building mechanical systems, computerized building controls, electrical grid operations, battery storage, APIs, and data architecture or analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, customer focus, and ability to work with limited guidance.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience delivering demand response programs or working with building management systems and controls.
