Associate Director, CDx Partnership Program Management (CDx)

Location: Hybrid in San Carlos, California preferred; US Remote is considered

Salary: $155,700–$194,600 USD annually, plus additional compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead program management across a portfolio of pharmaceutical companion diagnostic partnerships.
• Partner with Business Development to evaluate CDx opportunities, including feasibility, scope, timelines, resources, risks, and costs.
• Act as a senior external-facing contact for pharmaceutical partners and lead program governance and strategic discussions.
• Translate partner priorities, expectations, and commitments into direction for internal CDx Program Managers and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor portfolio-level risks, resource requirements, financial implications, and alignment between partner commitments and internal delivery.
• Establish scalable governance models, frameworks, and best practices for the growing partnership portfolio.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing a substantial portfolio of pharmaceutical CDx partnerships, ideally with 10 or more deals or programs advanced from evaluation through delivery.
• Deep understanding of the CDx/IVD development lifecycle, including regulatory considerations, timelines, resources, and costs.
• Experience evaluating and operationalizing opportunities through scope definition, costing, budgeting, resource planning, and feasibility assessment.
• Significant experience working with pharmaceutical partners and senior or executive stakeholders in complex partnerships.
• Strong executive presence, communication, negotiation, relationship-management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Advanced degree in life sciences, business, engineering, or a related field preferred; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
