Senior Software Web Engineer (React)

Location: United States of America; flexible hybrid work with occasional in-person events or team sessions.

Salary: $128,250–$266,875 per year, with possible discretionary annual bonus or commissions.

hirify.global Mail is a large-scale consumer email product serving hundreds of millions of users through web, mobile, and tablet experiences.

What you will do

• Define, design, develop, and ship high-impact features for hirify.global Mail web products from technical architecture through production monitoring.
• Build and maintain scalable web components and customer-facing experiences for hundreds of millions of daily users.
• Use AI-assisted tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate implementation, refactoring, and software development lifecycle automation.
• Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security vulnerabilities, hallucinations, edge cases, performance regressions, and accessibility compliance.
• Write clean, testable code; deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems in a CI/CD environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional partners while reviewing code and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with high-scale web applications and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and web performance optimization.
• Deep experience with React, Node, JavaScript or TypeScript, Atomic CSS, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Webpack, Redux Toolkit, Storybook, Jest, Playwright, and React Testing Library.
• Practical experience using Cursor or Claude Code, writing structured prompts, and evaluating AI-generated outputs for secure production use.
• Applicants must be based in the United States; the role uses a flexible hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-traffic email, messaging, productivity, or calendar web applications.
• Experience building features powered by LLMs, generative AI APIs, or machine learning pipelines, including multiagent workflows.
• Unix/Linux, shell scripting, mobile web, responsive design, Agile/Scrum, or squad-based engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, client-side performance monitoring, WCAG accessibility standards, and internationalization.
