Senior Controls Technician (HVAC/Controls)

Location: Field-based work at customer locations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with the technician based out of and working almost entirely in Altus.

Salary: $19.97–$59.91 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot, and service assigned control-system projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, including reviewing building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control system installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain accountability for company assets; work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• Typically, at least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems is preferred.
• Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required.

• Technical school or formal training.
