TL;DR

Location: Savannah, Georgia, United States of America; onsite

Salary: $84,980–$124,630 per year, plus discretionary bonuses

What you will do

  • Lead site environmental, health, safety, security, and process safety programs in alignment with corporate policies and applicable regulations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, site assessments, inspections, hazard identification, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage environmental permits and reporting for air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, Tier II, TRI, emissions inventories, and related requirements.
  • Lead Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program activities, including PHA, Mechanical Integrity, MOC, PSSR, incident investigations, emergency response, and risk mitigation.
  • Act as the primary site representative during audits, inspections, regulatory interactions, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop EHSS training, safety committees, emergency drills, corrective actions, and management system documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive EHSS experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar high-hazard industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of PSM/RMP regulations, federal and state EHS requirements, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday on 8-hour shifts, provide on-call emergency support, and work in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to access elevated work areas, use PPE, participate in safety drills, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • EPA Method 22 Opacity Certification and Class 4 Drinking Water License are required to be maintained.

Nice to have

  • Advanced EHSS certifications such as CSP or CHMM.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and Responsible Care management systems.
  • Experience with SAP, Velocity EHS, Intelex, or similar EHSS management systems.
