Senior Specialist EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety)

Location: Perryville, Maryland, United States; travel up to 30% within and outside the state.

Salary: $92,000–$138,000 annual, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of Employee Health and Safety programs, policies, management systems, and strategies across assigned facilities.
• Provide location-specific safety compliance expertise and recommend solutions for EHS-related needs.
• Investigate incidents, identify process improvements, and develop initiatives to reduce EHS incidents and claims.
• Partner with local leadership, HR, and Workers’ Compensation representatives on safety programs, audits, and claim follow-up.
• Oversee regulatory and safety training, lead training sessions, and manage Safety Committee meetings and action plans.
• Prepare environmental and safety reports, maintain regulatory documentation, support hazardous materials management, and mentor EHS specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Business, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Experience applying OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and environmental and safety regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and safety or compliance management.
• Ability to work around indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, temperature changes, noise, fumes, dust, and mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
• Ability to travel up to 30% for business purposes within and outside the state.

Nice to have

• Current First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, or AED certification.
• EHS certifications or training such as OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, ASP, CSP, or CIH.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
