EHS Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: 100% in-office in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The position will be temporarily based in northeast San Antonio and will permanently move to Brooks, San Antonio. Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Support and continuously improve facility environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Conduct inspections of cranes, forklifts, emergency equipment, and other regulated systems; track findings through closure.
• Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, job safety analyses, risk assessments, and PPE hazard assessments.
• Develop and deliver onboarding, regulatory, refresher, and other EHS training.
• Maintain emergency response plans, evacuation maps, chemical inventories, and Safety Data Sheet records in line with GHS requirements.
• Analyze safety metrics, support OSHA compliance and audits, and collaborate with operations, quality, and leadership on corrective actions and safety culture.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard analysis, incident investigation, safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to conduct inspections, work at a desk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Spanish language proficiency.
• ASP, CSP, CHST, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with safety management systems and EHS training programs.
