Health and Safety Specialist

What you will do

• Provide technical health and safety support to site Operations leaders.
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training for employees.
• Execute the site safety improvement plan and promote behavior-based safety ownership.
• Perform operational risk assessments and implement controls to protect employees from uncontrolled risks.
• Manage workplace injuries and near misses, including documentation, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Participate in new product and process reviews, process hazard analyses, operator training, and Job Safety Analysis.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in health and safety.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are required.
• Experience in ergonomics and completing functional ergonomic assessments.
• Knowledge of federal and state occupational safety and health regulations, including monitoring regulatory changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Gensuite.
• Strong organizational skills, independent decision-making, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
